Second Semester
Hallo! Sorry for the weird format of this entry. The computer lab isn't open yet, and typing on a kindle screen is harder then it looks haha. So hopefully I'll have internet in a week or so. The second semester has started. I definitely prefer this German class to last semesters. My context courses are now History of Modern European Diplomacy and The human totalitarianism condition. Not much has happened between the two semesters. I was lucky enough to have a good view of the Silvester firework shows in Litcherfelde. I'll have to post pictures once I have access to a computer. I also traveled around Berlin a bit. The Hennigsdorf area is very cute. I also went into Zehlendorf, which has very pretty buildings. I went to a bunch of Christmas markets(That will be another entry with pictures). We`'re having some construction on 6 sbahns so the busses will be used more! It's a good thing I know my way around. I really like the apartments still. I don't know why people are complaining. The one thing I have an issue with is all the rule breaking that people are doing there. It gives Americans a bad name. I wish the hausmeister would be a but stricter. I'm also going to France in March. We're going to Strausburg and Paris. Once I have more info I'll be sure to post it. Hopefully by Thursday they'll have the lab open so I can post pictures! (And edit this entry! The formatting is killing me!) Tschüss!

Really looking forward to seeing you pictures Jen, especially of the Christmas markets. I happen to be teaching German history this semester so will have to share your pics with the class.
ReplyDeleteJen, I loved the story of the little old lady in Poland. I am very happy to see you are being adventurous and getting to know Berlin quite well.

Jen, please try to attend The Berlin International Student Conference 2015 on Global History in April: a wonderful opportunity to meet other Global Studies students and to learn about the current research of both undergrad and grad students, that you'll be able to share with us all during your capstone presentation: https://globalhistorystudentconference.wordpress.com
